Coloured Splashbacks

Enjoy the beauty of our coloured splashbacks, ideal for kitchen and bathroom installations.

Coloured Splashbacks are designed by applying colour treatment to a glass surface. Once the treatment has been applied, it melds to the surface of the glass to form an impervious and durable surface, which retains the fullness of the colour applied.

Handy Hints

Sockets

Cut outs for electrical sockets should generally be at least 100mm from the edgeof the panel or from each other. If sockets are placed side by side the boxes must be placed so that the sockets sit tight against one another.

Round Holes

Round Holes, drilled or cut out should be twice the diameter from the edge of the panel.

Wiring

Must be chased into walls and any light fittings should be fitted allowing at least 10mm for the thickness of glass.

Where

There is variation in the height of the area to be covered, such as under a cooker hood, the panels will generally be separate and butting up to the adjacent one. We normally recommend that panels behind a cooker are toughened to increase heat and knock resistance.

Walls

Need to be reasonably flat and free of bows or twists. Unevenness below 2-3mm can be taken up with adhesive. The walls will be obscured by opticolour so the surface does not need to look pretty.

Measuring

Templates should generally be carried out after the kitchen/ Bathroom is installed.

Glasskote

Panels must be resting on a firm base it is not sufficient to hang the panels by the adhesive.

Gaps

Around the edges of showers and baths should be filled to the level of the rim.
